TURP for BHP - removes the prostate from the inside out
It seems like this would be generally useful, unless one hopes to rehabilitate the prostate and heal it. TURP leaves the surrounding tissue in place, and leaves the "capsule" of the prostate in place, but there is no question it is "debulking", and apparently it is thought of as a minor surgery. Why

Huge Boil And then Meds Dispensed. Rant!
I have a rapidly expanding boil on my neck. I visited a friend in hospital yesterday and hope I haven't picked up a nasty, or passed it on. I did the scrupulous handwasking on the way in and out, and she has no open wounds but insisted kindly I tucked my freezing hands under her dressing gown. Then

I've not taken Orencia for 3 weeks now, waiting for sores to clear up. GP gave me a course of Aciclovir tablets and they are slowly

My GP made an urgent referral for me to see a dermatologist in October to have one checked out on my leg and

Dental abscess under tooth
Hi all. I have never had problems with any of my teeth until now. On 7.5 pred and rituximab infusions every six months. I have got an abscess under my 2nd from back tooth which will not heal up! Had route canal and it's been cleaned out 4 times! I'm back at the dentist tomorrow and think the only option

Full Recovery!
I am very interested to hear from people (or heard of someone) who have made a full recovery from Viral meningitis, or even Varicella zoster virus?

Biologics applied for
Hi peeps, I'm just back from the hospital, having just applied for anti tnfs/ biologics. I was offered a choice of four: Etanercept (a biosimilar), Adalimumab, Certolizumab pegol or Golimumab. Initially, I was shown a sideshow of anti tnfs in general, then shown the injection dummies and told how often

Numbness on 'stache area?
My God have I had a week. It all started when I met up with a friend who happened to have a cold sore below his lips. When I saw it I was automatically triggered because I remembered when I had a cold sore like that. For example, two years ago I had a cold sore that managed to turn itself into an insane
