chicken pox
I would appreciate advice on chicken pox I had chicken pox as an adult when my children got it. I have also had a shingles vaccine. My grandson is just recovering and we’re waiting to see if his sister catches it. I’m on 5mg prednisone and we’re wondering if I should still be careful and stay clear

Request for my views on rux
Hi there I received a request re ruxilitinib. I have to admit that I consider it to have been my “life saver” I was on hydroxyurea from 2007 to 2016 and had dreadful symptoms, constant itching, swollen spleen night sweats, and the most dreadful mouth ulcers and swollen tongue. That was so bad that

Does anyone have symptoms that are linked to urinary problems. I had TURPS surgery about 3 years ago which went ok but my nocturia symptoms have never gone away. I often wake up at night 3 or 4 times with the urge to urinate both nothing comes. When I have a bad night it often coincides with a bad bout

On Benapali. Fungal infection treatment advice needed.
I’m on Benapali for 6 months and my RA is under control. However I have developed some mild fungal infections; Ringworm on Face, fungal infection on toenails, and start of athletes foot. Has anyone had more than 1 of these infections simultaneously and if so how were they treated ? Currently I’m treating

It’s not just Skin Cancer
‼ Once melanoma has spread to other parts of the body it is referred to as ‘metastatic melanoma’ at this stage it becomes very difficult to treat and prognosis is poor, so early detection, diagnosis and treatment is vital. As with all skin cancers, melanoma can often be seen on the skin, making it easier

UV exposure damage
‼ If you could see the damage you’ve already done due to UV exposure, would it change your sun protection habits? Would you check your skin monthly for the early warning signs? This image, taken with a special UV camera, show’s UV damage to the skin (on the left) that’s invisible to the naked eye.
