After losing my father years ago to throat cancer & my older brother just over a year ago to a very aggressive cancer which spread so quickly & at that time my younger brother was getting treated for prostate cancer , I've had problems holding & frequently needing to urinate , thought I'd get checked out , that was Thursday ( I had an enlarged prostate ) so called in for bloods to be done next morning ,, I've been terrified all weekend & never said to my kids although knew I was stressed with something , I've just had call from doctors & told my bloods are all clear & what a relief that was I cried ,, to those of you fighting this horrible disease keep fighting with all your worth & I wish you all the best in the future , some of these stories on here have made me realise how lucky some of us are , respect to you all

I am happy that your tests were negative. Hopefully they will stay so. There has been enough cancer in your family. I wish your brother well with his battle against the beast.

Hi Alan,

With PCa in the family, a doctor would consider you to have greater risk than the general population, so you might consider some supplements that might reduce that risk.

I wrote a series of posts that begin:

"Inflammation."

& another that begin:

"Foods/Supplements-Vitamins"

Paste either of these into the search area - top-right of screen.

Subclinical inflammation increases all sorts of risk & I wish doctors would test for it.
