I know a few men in Australia that have done well after PLA treatment. One went to NY for treatment by Dr Dan Sperling of the Sperling PC Centre. The only two downsides is it cost him $32K out of his pocket and that he got an infection which took some time to shake off. However, his prostate still works as it did with no side effects. The other guy had the treatment in Sydney with a totally successful outcome. More details can be found in my new book that was launched last month on Amazon.
I might be wrong, but I believe that Focal Laser Treatment is only used on very low grade disease. There are not so many places offering this treatment.
If this is the case, would not active surveillance be a better option. You should take advice from your consultant.
