Prostate cancer Pathology report

Prostate cancer Pathology report

My nodule was in Section I. The cancer was in sections B and C. My PSA was 0.7 %

The nodule was on the right side of my prostate, but the cancer was on the left side of my prostate. The cancer caused it to fill with fluid.

The nodule led me to a biopsy. The PSA was normal. Digital Rectal Exams are very important. Don't wait.

It is important to have multiple samples taken during a biopsy. In my case, my urologist took 12 core samples of my prostate. 2 of the 12 contained cancer cells.

This report is after my surgery. My urologist was able to spare the nerve bundles responsible for erections. I was very thankful for that. The cancer was completely contained inside the prostate and had not spread to the nerve bundles.
