hi everyone about 5weeks ago I stopped metoject with the agreement of the consultant, I couldn't cope with the side effects any longer,I'd been on tablet & injection for about 18 months so feel I'd given it a good shot, I'm now taking sulfasalazine instead, I'm only on week 5 & was worried whether

NHS Rheumatology Appointment At Last 😀
I've been putting off making an appointment with the private consultant as I know I'll have to stop the lefluminode due to peripheral neuropathy, the only other option he could give me was
sulfazine
which I understand is not as strong as lefluminode & can take up to 6 months to work, the consultant

Update on chest pain (wow, sorry its so longwinded) 😅
I explained that the plan with the private consultant was to give it till December with the increase in lefluminode dose from 10 to 20mg but as I'd missed 2 doses of the metoject through being so ill & a dose failing I'm now in a flare but feel I need to give it another month or I'll have to try

Update to is there an equivalent alternative to methotrexate
can take a while to get out of the system so potentially could still help whilst waiting for
sulfazine
to kick in however, we're going to try reducing lefluminode down to 15mg instead of 20, if there's no change with pins & needles or the pain gets worse I'll have to try

DMARDS Alternatives...
Says I should go back on them or
sulfazine
as I have low disease activity. If i don’t go on treatment I probably will get discharged. I’m wondering as I’m mildly affected if I could find something not so toxic alternative dmard.

Hi all. Diagnosed with seropositive ra in April this year and been taking oral methotrexate but just switched to injections. Rheumatologist also mentioned sulfalzine. Just wanted to know how others had responded to it as feel I’m going backwards at the moment. Had to miss a weeks mtx when changing to

My First Clinic Appointment Experience.
I now have to wait for a few days to see the Specialist Nurse Practitioner, after which I begin treatment with high dose Prednisone,
Sulfazine

Been resting, but writing, well, talking into a computer, as the hands have decided not to play ball.
Due to see the rhumy again on 17th May she wants to try
sulfazine
trouble is with the mtx I am already on, and then Lithium I think my body is saying toxic alert. I wrote something an hour ago and wanted to share it with you.

Wish i didnt' feel so tired why do people not undertand I can't do what I always want to?
The rhumy is thinking of putting me on
sulfazine
next month, she said I could stop taking the mtx if i felt like it. I felt crap when I left her to be honest. I am still trying to get my head all the diagnosis, and how much it has affected me since christmas.
