i have joined my local gym and they have a machine that vibrates the muscles. someone told me that people with diabetes type 1 and 2 cannot use it is this right thankyou

I know the one at my gym warns against use if you have a pacemaker but not diabetes. Can you ask one of the gym instructors? Before using the power plate - if that's what yours is called - we had to have an induction with a member of staff as it isn't a machine you should use without knowing how to use it safely. I knelt on it once by mistake and had a sore knee for a week!

Hope someone else might be able to answer your question but if not then I think a gym employee might be your best bet. Good luck!

Powerplates aren't really worth using at all, much less if they could pose a health risk to you. They burn little to no calories, and were originally advertised on TV as a way to lose weight without any effort whatsoever - a concept which by definition is physiologically impossible.
