Hi, 3 years ago I started practicing Qi Gong 5 times a week and using My Fitness Pal app every single day. After 2 years I was down 53 pounds, a little over my 50 pound weight loss goal, and I reduced my pain level by at least 50%. I wasn't looking for a quick fix, I wanted a lifestyle change that was doable for me. I continue to use this routine of Qi Gong and the app, and have been able to maintain my weight, and pain management. Qi Gong is very gentle on your joints, and other benefits I've found since starting is it's a form of mindful meditation and breath work, therefore it reduces stress, and improves your mood. Qi Gong has been so helpful for me I now practice it 7 days a week. I can't say enough good things about this practice, I love it! There are many videos on YouTube to learn about it, and how to practice it. I would recommend YouTube videos by Lee Holden. I personally started with these videos, and now have his DVD's. My philosophy is, Time will continue to pass, so use it to try and find something that works for you. If you don't try, the time will pass anyway and nothing will have changed. I hope this information is helpful to the community.
