Hi, I am new here, I am 66 years old and having a lot of pain problems which are new for me. Right now I am having problems with pain in both knees and a lot of pain in my lower back and hips. I don't know what to do, do have a doctor's appointment for this coming Wednesday, any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.

If you are having any numbness or weakness in your legs and or problems with control of your bowels or urine you should probably go to an ER. Otherwise follow through with your appointment to determine the source of your problem. It’s not clear what the primary source of you pain is. . . It could be your back, hips or knees or a combination.

Hi there

When u see your physician make sure to lead the appt by describing your sxs.

When the sxs started, where the pain started first, what activities or positions increase or decrease your pain, and what effect your pain is having in performing functional, occupational or recreational activities. I often have my patients write down what they need to relay to the physician or nurse practitioner before they speak with them. I agree with the previous replies and I wish u a quick and profound recovery.
