How do people deal with episodes when out in public I find it so hard not to panic and make things 10 times worse espeshilly when I do my part time hours in a shop and have to serve customers, any advice much appreciated ❤️ and by episodes I mean the dizziness/lightheaded and blood pressure dips.

Hi

I have found going out a real problem, especially when I was a teenager and wanting to go out on my own.

Now I am 48 I am more aware of fainting while on my own. I do not go out really on my own but if I do have to go to town on my own I will make a list of shopping, and only go to the shops I need to go to and always stop half way through for a drink and something sweet to eat as that helps with my blood pressure and carry on with my shopping then home.

If I am with my husband or family I tend to be more relaxed and will visit more shops but will always stop for a decaff coffee and a sticky bun .

Firstly, I found seeing the humour in it helps a lot! Sometimes it feels like you’re the only one who has these symptoms, but chances are VVS is soo common there’s someone in the same environment who has experienced exactly the same thing. Take yourself to a quiet place, clench your fists and take deep breaths. That tends to help me:)
