Hi my 15 Yr old son as been diagnosed with STARS and is currently having lots of symptoms of racing heart and pulse, I dizzy spells and blurred vision. The school are good but he has to come home if this last longer than 30 minutes. There appears to be no triggers... So my question is how can I help him?

Hi, have you tried speaking o his GP about medication? Have you also read though the information on STARS website as it’s really helpful, I have PoTS which is similar in symptoms. I was advised by my cardiologist to drink plenty of water, I drink up to 3 litres a day, more if exerting myself. I was advised also to take a teaspoon of salt a day extra to any other salt intake (I find this hard to do) I think most people would, but it help with things. I was also told that it’s a very difficult condition to treat and to take each day as it comes. I have found some great and positive stories on STARS pages and forums, I would suggest you try those out too, sorry I can’t be much more help, I am going by my experience so far and I’m still learning too.

Hope you can help him.
