It has long been recognised that people who are dehydrated are prone to fainting and if you struggle with vasovagal syncope then you need to drink considerably more than the average of 1.5 litres of fluid that is advised for the average healthy adult. Don't forget to include salt in your diet unless you have been advised against this by your doctor, of course.
