Cortisone injection

I had a steroid injection in my knee today which was very painful to say the least! It hasn’t started to work yet but the doctor said it could take a few hours or overnight to start working. If anyone here has had the injection can you let me know if it helped and how long it lasted. I don’t mind the pain if it works as it’ll be worth it.

Thanks.

Hi Purpleshoe, I haven't had an injection in my knees but I have had both shoulders and elbows injected. The first time it didn't work so I returned to the doctor who told me to book another injection and to make sure I was injected in exactly the right place i.e. where the pain was worst. It worked and every injection since has been really welcome. Hope yours works and you feel some relief from the awful pain in you knees. Take care, Maximonkey
