To encourage discussion within our group, what TIPS would you give to someone else with Osteoarthritis to help them live their best life? (for example, think about your everyday habits, how you seek entertainment, how your diet may have changed, etc.). Thank you!

Firstly I would tell them not to get caught up in worry. Stress aggravates most illnesses, and worry does not address the problem. I have found losing weight through intermittent fasting very helpful to put less pressure on the legs and so relieve pain. Gentle walking is great, but if that is not possible, keeping active at least within the house is important to prevent progressive stiffness and getting immobilized. Important to keep in touch with family, friends as osteoarthritis definitely reduces mobility and without emotional support, you can get isolated and feel alone without even realizing it is happening. I have found supplements such as glucosamine chondroitin helpful for joint health and reducing pain and inflammation in acute phases, although I don't take it now.

I would say try to move as much as you can and exercise. Riding a stationary bike is good and using resistance bands, that's what I do.
