Still enjoying school summer hols!!

Hello everybody, I hope you are all coping well with our second round of hot weather. Although I have had a few aches and pains this week, I have still managed to have a great time with my granddaughter. Just for a change it was her having an appt, (with a orthodontist) so of we went, so xrays, photos and moulds were taken, and hooray she is on the treatment list for braces, waiting time 18 to 24 months!! Tuesday was a cinema visit ( transylvania 3), I know a childrens film but they are so funny oh and kfc lunch. She had a sleep over Tuesday night, so we laid out on the star loungers and looked at the stars til 11 30, I can highly recommend this, we never seem to look up enough, it truly is a wondrous sight!! This is something I have done with my daughters and now my granddaughters. Yesterday we were set to have a cycle ride, now the back story to this is I have been telling her to make sure her tyres are pumped up and her bike is in working order, so guess what I pack a picnic, load it into my basket on the front of bike, and proceed to set off, only for my granddaughter, to shout "nana, your back tyre is flat!" So a very apologetic nana, puts bike back in garage. Did this stop us having a picnic, of course not, in car, down to local wood, hey, egg sandwiches etc, and then she climbed a few trees, oh how I wish I could still do that. Finished the week off with baking choc chip cookies, (we greatly under estimated how far they would spread haha) Still have my aches and pains, plus a few extra, only because I have been laughing! Take care everybody xx

Ohhh lovely fairy56 😊🌸🌿

What a wonderful nana you are.

What wonderful quality time spent with her and the memories and bond made is priceless.

I loved to climb trees too.

The aches and pains you endure in silence are the priceless investments made for the overall well being of your granddaughter. She in turn will pass this on to her children and grandchildren. What a GREAT legacy to pass on to your family. Keep up the good work dear.

Hello honeybug, thanks for your lovely reply, I made myself a promise that as long as I can be a nana, I am going to enjoy every moment, and if the price I pay is a little more discomfort, then its a price I am willing to make. Also, once she goes back to school in September, I wont get to see her as often, mores the pity, so heres to fun. Take care of yourself, and if you get the chance tonight, look up and see the stars! xxxx

Hi fairy56 😊🌸🌿🦋

Oh how wonderful your reply. Everyone should have grandmothers that have your mindset.

I had one grandmother that despised me and the one that loved me lived too far away to visit but I know she loved me as I did her. I met and bonded with my mother’s maternal grandparents who were very elderly and not mobile. Never met either sets of paternal great grandparents. Would have been lovely to learn their personalities.

Thank you for sharing dear and the wishes for star gazing. I can’t do that I’ve been allergic to everything outdoors for decades. How I do miss the crickets 🦗 and the starry night skies and the moonlight nights.

Thanks for giving me a little trip down that memory lane...was enjoyed immensely. 😊💗

You take care as well and extra fun wishes for your outings with your granddaughter and healing wishes for afterwards. While you recuperate you’ll have wonderful memories to recall. Mmmmmm grand!!!!

😊🌸🌿🦋🤗💗😘

Good afternoon honeybug, so sorry to hear that you are allergic to everything outside, I hope I am not presuming to much here, but how about buying a telescope, then you can watch the stars and the moon from inside. One thing I have is two crystals that I have hung in my front window and back window downstairs, and whichever way the sun is shining I have dancing rainbows! Sort of brings the outside in, even on a winters day. Please take care, always thinking of you xxx

Good morning fairy56

😊🌸🌿🦋

Thank you dear for your very thoughtful kind and caring reply.

I never thought of using a telescope from indoors or the crystals to make sunshine rainbows 🌈 how lovely 😊.

I will certainly look into these fantastic ideas sweetie.

Now I’m thinking of you too 🤗

Please take care and abundant blessings dear.

Hi fairy 56, sounds like you're having fun. I'm in the same boat during school hols with grandson so for us it's been the woods where there's a tree swing, the skate park and making dropped scones.😊 Thoroughly shattered and hurting by the end of each day but we both have fun and I thank my lucky stars I'm still able to do that. Take care xx
