Reflux and choking

Today I had a reflux attack and was really choking, luckily I had my family with me and eventually managed to breathe. Begs the question what do you do if you have a reflux attack and are on your own? I could not have done to myself what they done to me.

I was told that that choking was the result of panic (which is understandable). So what you have to do when it starts is to pinch your nose and stop breathing for some seconds and then take a deep breath. If necessary try again. It works.

Have you tried dexalant that’s what I’m on now I have the worse Acid Refleux ever I’ve tried everything and after a year it doesn’t work well anymore but this medicine has been so good to me. Yes I get like that also with the coughing spitting and throwing up uugh it’s the worse but you have to breathe in between cough
