Hi, have a diagnosis of generalised morphoea. On methotrexate. Am I going to be able to get travel insurance for Europe? I live in the Uk?

Will I get travel insurance?
While I can't say for certain, I wouldn't think a diagnosis of morphea would prevent you from getting travel insurance since it is classified as a localized and not systemic disease. If you have the option of keeping the word "scleroderma" out of the diagnosis, try to do that. If not, then make it clear it is a localized condition. (I'm aware that sometimes there is some associated internal involvement, but just stick to the term morphea if you can. "Generalized" doesn't equate to "systemic." A diagnosis of systemic sclerosis will have difficulty getting insurance coverage for most anything. Good luck!
hi chrisM28, I went to Tenerife last year and had no problem getting travel insurance, I told them I had Scleroderma and secondary Raynauds.
I have scleroderma and have no problem getting travel insurance through a specialist insurer. I've just booked insurance for 3 weeks in France in the summer, for us all (family of 5), including me with scleroderma, Raynauds and Sjorgren's. My daughter also has a heart condition, and the insurance covers us for our pre-existing medical conditions as well as all the usual things. I'm really careful not to hide anything at all, as I'd be worried about not being properly covered.
In total, it came to £43 ish, which I don't think is bad at all. The insurer I use is called Medisafe.
Hope that helps!
