I've just had it. Absolute agony, isn't it? I didn't eat for about 60 hours, just had a pint of milk as that was all I could take. I had a Bowen session this morning and I'm feeling so much better. And no longer look 9 months gone! A local friend had it also, so I guess it's just a summer bug. Take it easy! Xx

I had the same thing last November and December. My GI doctor diagnosed it as Gastroparesis. What that means is your stomach starts to not digest foods properly and it can be very painful. They put me on a drug call Bentyl 4 X a day that helps stomach cramping & pain. Mine got really bad and I was in hospital from 12-12-12 until 12-31-12. I ended up having to have a feeding tube (you put protein formula in the pump and it run overnight) placed due to 55lb. weight loss in 5 months. I did okay with the tube feedings but got an infection in my stomach ans was in hospital again from 3-18-13 to 4-1-13. I could not eat or drink anything the entire time I was in. They ran 3 different antibiotics and anti-nausea medications 24/7. When I got out I had to continue no food or liquids for 1 week.

I now am able to eat small amounts of food and liquids, but nothing with skin on it as it is hard to digest. I was in so much pain before and feel so much better now. Not saying surgery is necessary, but definitely talk to MD about the Bentyl for stomach pain and Zofran if you have bad nausea. Zofran (Ondansetron - Generic name) is a wonder drug as far I am concerned as it works very quickly. I have Scleroderma w/Raunaud's and heart and lung involvement. The drug names are the American brand, so not sure what they call them by you. Between the 2 meds. I now have very few flares up like I did before.

You are so welcome! I hope she can help get it under control for you. I know how awful the pain an bloating can be. I have had Scleroderma w/Raynaud's for 22 years now and the last 5 have been rough, but I just keep plugging along. Stay hopeful and don't be afraid to ask for a Gastroenterolgy Consult (stomach specialist). He would be the best one to help diagnosis and treat you. I know your health care system is much different than mine but with all your symptoms you should qualify for a consult! Take care and post when you have some answers. Would love to hear how you are doing.

That's great! I really hope they work for you as they did for me. I think abdominal pain is one of the worst. It will take a few days to get going but let me know how you do. Would love to know if it helps you! Stay strong and remember we are here for you.
