Hi, I've been using CPAP machine for about 4 years and am now on my second machine after the old one wouldn't switch on. I have one query I've never been advised to use the water tank, what's it for? Thanks in advance.

It should be for providing moisture while you run the CPAP. Only use distilled water in it, and clean it daily. It helps a lot with keeping from getting your nose / throat too dry.
