Constant sleepiness/fatigue

Hi,

I have been getting investigated for narcolepsy with cataplexy and have had a sleep study and was just after some advice whilst I wait for my results. I pretty much always feel tired, if I have had a good sleep (generally 10-14 hours) I will be full of energy for maybe 4-6 hours then could sleep all night again. I also get a lot of muscle weakness, especially when I get a large fright.

Does this sound like narcolepsy to anyone else or could it be something different as I don't feel like I slept during the multiple sleep latency test and I think they use this for diagnosis?

has anyone got any tips that might help me whilst I wait for an appointment?

Thanks in advance.
