My sleep issues can put a strain on relationships. Partners cannot cope well with someone snoring or thrashing around in their sleep.

Lack of sleep has never affected my relationships. I push myself to achieve the same results even when sleep has been an issue.

My wife is extremely understanding and sleeps like a baby so it doesn't disrupt her at night. She knows when i am over tired so she does make some allowances.

My sleep issues started 9 years ago. Falling asleep during conversations and sometimes having a meal. My husband was wonderful and when I started to fall asleep while driving he took me to the doctor. I am now alone but still cope well since being on a c-pap. I do not know anyone else who went into a coma with sleep apnoea, but my friends are very supportive and take good care of me.

It has a great strain on my realtionship with my husband he just doesn't understand how tired I am and starts shouting at me to wake up so to be honest it's not great

No not really, we usually have had a laugh afterwards (much later mind you) If I thrash about.

Yes, poor sleep affects my mood and can lead to rows if not careful.

The bigger effect though is that my husband and I can’t sleep together as he snores and any noise or movement stops me sleeping. This affects intimacy.

Lack of sleep does not affect my relationship with my husband who is very understanding. The only thing that bothered him was me putting on the light to read books and flick magazines during the night. This was sorted my him buying me a kindle years ago.

Yes I don't have much of a social life. This as stopped me doing my hobby Birdwatching were I go out and meet I know, also I have not kept in touch with Uncles and Aunts who I did go and on a regular basis but because I feel tired all the time I don't go out.

No, I am a widower of 17 years and diagnosed with OSA 6 years ago and thankfully have not had this problem.

Not seriously because single but a few snappy responses

Before diagnoses the snoring and alarming breathing stops, disturbed my wife and she was as tired as me in the mornings.but luckily it did not affect our relationship, although it lasted for 57 years.

Yes, sometimes I am short tempered with loved ones and then feel badly. I also noticed when I don't get adequate sleep I don't socialize with loved one or friends as I would normally do.

No not really ... I was like this when my now wife met me, but was not diagnosed until 18 years after we met.

Maybe she is just patient.

My daughter has known no difference.

My immediately family just think I am strange, but my in-laws are so loving and caring.

I think it has as my hubby is left having to do more with the kids etc & housework because I've just not got the energy & the times i can't keep myself awake. It makes me feel really guilty, a bad wife & mum but thankfully he's been really great about it all.

My husband is very understanding. He tends to sleep through all my night time activities/rituals as I attempt to overcome my Restless Legs or insomnia. As he sometimes groans in his sleep, he is prepared to sleep in another room for me. He is also very considerate of my sleep deprived moods the next day, if I have slept badly.

Divorced, but, I have grandchildren, and it's tough to get up early when they have summer vacation for me to do things with them. Also, any early morning appointment with anything is tough, I try to schedule anything later in the day if I can.

I try not to drive any kind of distance or unfamiliar journeys if I've been awake for more than 48 hours. Went through a red light by mistake after being awake 48 hours and had a scary local journey home after being awake for 72. There are few buses so this impacts seeing people.

I also try to avoid booking tickets to a show if going with one other person. Cancelled 2 social events last week but didn't let anyone down. I'm probably seen as unreliable but am poor company if exhausted.
