Ambien Side Effects

Hi I have PTSD and Chronic Panick Attacks and I've been prescribed Ambien, honestly it's the only medication I've been able to sleep well with but I'm concerned about long term side effects. Has anyone experienced dry mouth, weight gain, and recurrent yeast inflections?

I haven’t experienced any long term effects since I wasn’t on Ambien long enough to find out. I did have an immediate scary effect, though, and that was doing things I had no memory of. God forbid you should experience this side effect, so this is just a cautionary tale.

I just got prescribed it also and I'm terrified of the side effects!!!😳 Dementia really freaks me out cause I'm already suffering dementia type symptoms. I will be refusing to take it cause like you said God forbid scary stuff happens. Thanks for your help in writing this. Helped a lot!!!😄

I love dogs too! I indirectly own a Schipperke-mix (my parents had to take him since he couldn’t make the move with my husband and I when we transferred to Norway🙁). What kind of dog(s) do you have?

This is too funny cause I'm Swedish Norweigan!! Wish I lived there instead of the U.S.. Iv e heard of that breed. Some ppl had 2 of those dogs. Cute little dogs!!! Sadly I lost my sweet shepherd lab 7 years ago. Haven't lived or been able to afford having a dog where I live. It breaks my ❤ in every way😭 Where in Norway do you live? Is it beautiful?? Oh just picked up Ambien but only going to take half of the 5 mg tab I was prescribed. He said most of the side effects happen at 10 mg daily. If I don't feel right I will never ever take it again. Too scared!!
