Please help I’ve been getting these small bumps over my knuckles for a while now. I’m 26 and have no health issues that I know of. I really don’t remember when they started but they have always come and gone. They only bother me if I hit them on something or press them against something forgetting about them. It’s a sharp pain that goes away. I use to get one at a time on my left hand pointer knuckle and it would go away. Then i would get one on the middle pointer knuckle and it would go away.
In the picture I now have three on my right knuckle which has never happened and they have stayed for months. Now I have one on my right pointer middle knuckle and two starting in my left pointer knuckle.
I was an ER nurse and I’ve showed everyone and no one knew what it was. Some ask if I have an autoimmune disorder. I’ve shown my primary and a dermatologist Pa and they all said that they are nothing. They are starting to bother me and I’ve become very self conscious of it because people are starting to point it out especially my patients 😭🙃

Colleagues are thinking of grottons papules , I have them but I am not diagnosed with dermatomyositis , can be indicative of a connective tissues disease, they look more like bites even warts? Might be best see a GP who may be able to rule out the less serious things first.
They could be contact urticaria. I have urticarial vasculitis and it all started with hives like those on my hands in cold weather. The only thing is that I had more of them and a few years later they became far more serious spreading to my ankles and legs with itchy hives. Initially I was told by my GP that they were chilblains so I should just wrap up and stay warm. It turns out chilblain is also a mild case of auto immune condition. I would suggest a blood test for any inflammation first and see. Good luck. Hopefully it is nothing serious but it is best to check first.
I used to get these too exactly as you describe, I have Sjögren’s syndrome and raynauds and I think it’s connected to that but never had it confirmed by my rheumatologist. I would suggest go to gp first. Good luck. 😃
