Speaking to Your Doctor About Your Symptoms

The first time, or even the second time, you talk to your doctor about your incontinence symptoms, you want to make sure that you are prepared for the discussion. Usually you want to make an appointment JUST to talk about incontinence, so that you have plenty of time to make sure all your questions are asked, and there is time to talk about your concerns. This article has a good checklist to help you prepare for those visits. I think it is helpful for any discussion, but especially when there is a difficult but important topic to discuss.

I hope you all find this helpful!

Great timing on the article. I have been dragging my feet but tomorrow I need to make another appointment due to a change in my symptoms. I'm thinking the prostate may be my problem. Wish me luck.

Be sure to be honest with your doctor and let him/her know how you feel. They need to understand how we feel about some of these tests.
