I don't know but me too my white cells have really escalated and they are checking me every 2 weeks in blood work cause apparently with taking injections now with metrox and prednisone it can lead to cancer which I found out through my doctor. This sucks since you try to fight one battle with the sarcoid and then you may end up fighting another battle with cancer. I don't know about anyone else but my disease is slowly killing me kidneys are so bad I need a operation and they will not do it because I will not heal. On top of it all they found my vitamin d now at 13% only and they gave me 50,000 IU to take weekly and then everyday 2000 IU then I read online apparently it is dangerous to take the Vitamin D with all the other meds. So I don't know about anyone else if they are taking Vitamin D and if it was okay with their doctor's to take it. I have 7 different specialists for every different problem so now I am worried if I will get worse with this Vitamin D supplements since the first time I took them I couldn't walk at all the next day and I got so ill that I was vomiting from it. I have not taken the second dose yet and if anyone has a answer please share so I can talk to the specialists about it. Thank everyone.

seems like enlarged lymph nodes on chest wall are consistent with sarcoidois, have to have more tests done, i had low vit d levels and prescribed high dose vitamin d3. it did not suit me, sick, weak urinating constantly large amounts, cant take them,my son has very low vit d levels and he takes prescribed high dose and is doing well on them. also I get very thirsty, weight drops. i dont know what is going to happen, but i can say with certainty I am vit d deficient but can not tolerate the prescribed vit d.

See if the doctors can your parathyroid glands and hormone. I have recently found out I had very low vit d, but the body will lower vit d to protect it from calcium overload. Go read Tampa Parathyroid Center, Tampa FL web site. Really good info there.
