When you say your child has Sickle do you mean the trait or full blown.

If the child’s mum has a trait the child can have the trait too

If the child has full blown disease, it’s genetics (genes can jump/skip) and there maybe an explanation for it.

There's no jumping in genetic stuff, he has to be a carrier too for his son to have full blown disease.

Your son could be a carrier like your wife. But if he is not, if he has SCD then don't automatic run to conclusion that he is not your son. You could have been misdiagnosed, you could have been a carrier too. And if that's not the case either then...

You could be a carrier of beta Thalassemia that interacts with SCT.
