Junior doctor's strikes tomorrow and Wednesday will include withdrawal of cover from A&E. However, there's no need to panic! Cover will be provided by more senior staff, and A&E will be staffed as normal after 5pm on both of these days, so if you have an emergency, you should receive care. Scheduled appointments may be cancelled on these days, though.
Remember it's only the junior doctors who are on strike, so if you need to talk to a medical professional on the strike days, you can still contact your consultant or specialist nurse.
The strikes will run from 8am-5pm on Tuesday 26th April and 8am-5pm on Wednesday 27th April.
