Flu jab & sickle cell cisis

Hi warriors! I'm in pain at the moment. I've not had crisis in years but it's happening now 3 days after getting a flu jab. I've always got a flu jab every year without falling into crisis. Is this a coincidence or the jab has triggered the crisis plus all the flu like symptoms (cold, cough & headache) I'm worried.

Thanks

Sorry about your health, from my little experience I came to understand that there are different strains of flu so even though you get a flu jab it might be for a different strain compared to what you may later get infected with, albeit you are better off getting the flu jab than not. Hopefully you should be ok once the infection runs it’s course.

Do take care and keep strong.

JJibogu,

Thanks for your reply. This must be the worse flu I've ever experienced, nothing has worked. Thanks

Sorry JJibogu for going through this pain. I am praying for you for relieve very soon. Please drink lots of water even when you don't feel like. Sometimes what also helps is getting someone to get you the raw ginger tea, lemon, and honey and drink it when you get up and even when in the evening if you so choose but mornings on an empty stomach before eating is important. You may also add galic to help your immune system.

Hope you get well soon and take the motrin 600 mg for pain.

Blessings and praying for you.

Hey Hazeleyes05 The reason why u were having a crisis was because of all ur flu like symptoms!! When being sick or having the flu dehydrates u alot. So ur body absorbs water and fluids. U need to drink as much fluids as u can to stay hydrated and keep ur blood cells circulated. HTH! HOPE UR DOING MUCH BETTER.
