After 6 rounds of carpo-taxol, and you had residual cancer-what were options after that?

Probably Radiation Therapy. Have a discussion with your doctors about what your treatment plan will be. Discuss what your treatment options are and ask questions about any concerns you may have. It is very important to have the discussion and to understand everything so that you will be informed moving forward in your treatment.

My chemo/ radiation treatment was sandwiched. After 3 rounds of Carbo/Taxol Chemotherapy, I had 25 sessions of External Beam Radiation Therapy and 3 sessions of External Beam Vaginal Cuff Boost Radiation Therapy ( in lieu of Brachytherapy). I had another 3 rounds of Carbo/Taxol Chemotherapy following Radiation Therapy.

Everyone’s treatment plan may be a little different, but your treatment plan should be the plan that is best for you. All the best!

Hi. I hope you are well. What grade did you have. I have just had diagnosis of grade 3 and been scheduled paclitaxel and carboplatin - 4 cycles, every 3 weeks. Then 4 radiotherapy

I had a full radical hysterectomy in July 2019 after I was diagnosed w stage 1, Figo grade 1 endometrial cancer. Discovered recurrence in Dec 2020 despite having been gutted of my girl parts. They haven't assigned a stage but my research puts it at 3b. Was recommended to undergo an aggressive treatment plan of chemo and radiation. My chemo/ radiation treatment was what they call sandwiched. Just finished 3 6-7 hour rounds of Carboplatin/Taxol Chemotherapy. I start 25 sessions of External Beam Radiation Therapy and 3 sessions of Brachytherapy on Tuesday. After the radiation and brachytherapy, I will have another 3 rounds of Carboplatin/Taxol Chemotherapy. Very similar to Lifemission's treatment plan.
