Can I get some advice please.

Hi

I went back to see the doctor yesterday about my ovarian cyst the good news is he is pretty sure it’s just fluid filled but as it’s quite large he wants to remove it with keyhole surgery and also take out both my ovaries at the same time. I am 68 so don’t need them but just wondering if having them both removed will affect me in any way, he says best to take them out in case I get any more cysts.

Any advice would be good thank you x

You might want to get a second opinion from another specialist before you decide to go ahead with surgery!?

It is a personal decision but I would not hesitate to remove them. I had already gone thru menopause so there was no problem with my complete hysterectomy. I hope it all goes well.
