Hi, I am here for my mother. She has been detected ovarian cancer in last 2017. After that she got 6 chemo then after surgery in the may 2018. After surgery she is on monthly follow-up with tamoxifen citrate per day. In jun it has been started, 5 to 6 months it got good sign, as CA125 level were decreasing, but now from last 3 months, it's getting increased. Pls advice on this matter..

Her doctors will advise her as to what they think the CA125 numbers mean. Some of what they look for are 1) two doublings in the counts within a certain time period and 2) a consistent rising trend. There are situations where a CA115 can become elevated due to things other than cancer. But if it is due to her ovarian cancer coming back please know that that is very common and that there are a lot of options that her doctors may consider based on what they know about her particular situation. What I want to impress upon you is that there are lots of us who have recurred and are still here after many years. I recurred back in 2008 and am still here 11 years later. Best wishes to you and your mom.
