I Met with Gyn oncologist he came up with a game play to kill the beast. The poison is Avistin and Doxil every two weeks. Any Teal Sister know the side effects from these medicines ? God bless

I JUST FINISHED DOXIL .You can't be in the sun or take hot showers and don't drink orange juice. I'm at a check up appointment right now to see how well the Doxil worked .Good luck

You might want want to check out doxil.com for more information on the side effects of doxil and how you can manage them. I’ve had several friends that have been on doxil, some for long periods of time. Best wishes to you. Gwen

Faith, Avastin can bring on high blood pressure and too much protein in your urine. I was on it for about a year. They check your urine to make sure there is no kidney issues. Your doc should tell you all side effects. Good luck and prayers to you all.

Cjbloomq, Will start chemo Thursday, Nurse called yesterday she said I have to have echo cardiogram done Tuesday and Thursday blood work and urine. Thanks

I’m currently on Avastin...it can cause a persistent runny nose so stock up on Kleenex. Sometimes there is a bloody nose from it. Blood pressure was also an issue for me...I got a blood pressure cuff to have at home to monitor twice daily. I’m now on three different blood pressure meds. Discuss being followed by a cardiologist who can monitor any symptoms you may have and act quickly. I’m currently on Carbo/Taxol/Avastin. Avastin will continue for a year. Praying for you!!!!
