High grade PPT cancer

Hi everyone, I am new and have concern for my mom case. I have couple of questions:

How many days gap is given between neoadjuvant and adjuvant chemotherapy in PPT cancer? I would appreciate if share your experience. I just heard that it is important in avoiding recurrence. Also. what is the gap between the neoadjuvant and de-bulking surgery?

I'm not familiar with a PPT cancer. In trying to find out what PPT stands for , this was the only definition of that acronym I could find that might be it. Pineal parenchymal tumor, a rare brain tumor.

If you could define what type of cancer, I am sure you could get some replies to your question.

Thanks for your reply. It is similar to stage 3 Ovarian cancer.

Thanks. I had my surgery before starting chemo so not sure about timing in between. I just know that after surgery, my gyn/onc waited to start my chemo til I was stable, healing and maintaining my weight (actually gaining back a few pounds). That took about 5 weeks for me plus another week to schedule in my first chemo, so 6 weeks total between surgery and chemo.

Also, if your mom agrees, you could talk to her doctors directly to see what they recommend and why.

Thanks for your reply. I already talk. They should wait to see the progress in her treatment after each chemo and after will decide. That made me a bit worry.

Can I ask you when you had your surgery and chemo. Are you done with your treatment?

Surgery was August 5th. I requested surgery before any chemo due to my extremely poor health at the time. Didn't think I would do okay with surgery if I reacted negatively to any chemo treatments before hand. (I have Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia going on 29 years next month. I'm 66. I was very ill with what one doctor said was just my allergies getting worse. Hah!) Had a twenty pound ovarian tumor removed along with all the rest of total hysterectomy, omentum, etc. I will be going to my 5th chemo session on Thursday. Will have one more scheduled session after that for total of 6.

Do you mean PPC maybe? I have PPC, Primary Peritoneal Cancer 3C, it’s treated exactly the same as OC.

I already read your story. Wish you a long remission and life ahead. I was just wondering where did your tumours spread? And if you had ascites when you were diagnosed?

They said mine started in the peritoneum, I only had microscopic cells in my ovaries and tubes. With no ascites anywhere. My “tumors “ were mainly in the Peritoneal lining, I was lucky in the fact that they did exploratory surgery, and then all 6 treatments, and then the de bulking surgery, a second look sort of. They took my ovaries, tubes, and all of my omentum, and a couple of lymph nodes for further biopsy. Everything was clear except the washing’s they did, which came back with microscopic cells, so we did three more rounds of chemo.
