My mom is also considering having her doctor give her a low dose prescription for marijuana. Wanted to know if anyone has used it. Thanks

Has anyone used marijuana to shrink tumors?
Some people will say it does help kill cancer cells but most doctors and experts say no. Though they will say it's great for pain management and anxiety/depression. I'm trying to get my Mom to try it as well in hopes it'll help shrink the tumors too and for if/when she's in pain from this... (Thankfully she isn't at the moment.) But she's pretty adamant about NOT ever smoking or eating it. Oh well. I'm curious to hear what others think. Hope your Mom is doing okay.
I agree with the others that have posted. I’ve never known anyone to say that it stops tumors but it’s used for pain management. Have you read the book by Chris Woollams “Everything you need to know to help you beat cancer”. Lots of information and he has a great site called canceractive. He highly recommends the Mediterranean diet and natural remedies used in conjunction with orthodox treatment. There’s no magic bullet but there are lots of changes we can make to our lifestyle that hopefully will slow the disease. If your Mum wants to smoke some weed I don’t expect it would do her any harm but She should also be looking at diet and exercise. Hope that helps.

From everything I have read it does not stop cancer growth. Cbd oil whether with or without thc works well for appetite, nausea, sleep, anxiety. I have used CBD and gummies various times for side effects.
I would like to try it myself. My doc would support it, except that she says one should take it in oil form and this is not available in natural form. There are some chemical surrogates which di not work. So I am waiting to find a viable solution. A friend of mine is growing his own plants, which is legal in Austria, and had great results on tumor markers.
In Canada you can buy it in oil form. Naturally developed and it comes in various strengths.
There are many forms of it. CBD with or without THC. I would definitely read up on what works best. The Truth About Cancer is a great source that I use....
I saw this video fairly recently and it has prompted me to look at medical cannabis (which is legal in my state). I don't need it yet, but I want to talk to my oncologist about it and get registered in Maryland, etc. Olivia Newton John (who has MBC with bone mets) has established a foundation to study plant-based cancer treatments... including herbs and cannabis (which she calls a plant, not a drug). In this interview, if I recall properly, she states that her bone mets diminished after starting this. But it has really helped her with her pain, etc. She is not (at least at this point) talking about replacing traditional treatment with plants, which I would never personally consider. But supplementing? I am trying to learn more. Right now my muscle/joint pain (as I just started Ibrance/Letrozole) is only slightly more than what I have lived with for many years prior to cancer, but I am definitely going to go this route when it makes sense to do it (for me). youtu.be/rJtPgpedcFo
I follow much of what you are saying and live in Bethesda, Maryland. the key to cannabis and cancer is to take equal parts of some different cannabis. Let me know if you want to connect with me.
Would love to connect. I am in Columbia.
Great we can compare and support . How do you suggest we do so?
I would love to know the best way to get certified for mm in Maryland now that we've just moved here. I sent you a PM. Thanks in advance for any advice.
Hi
It’s something I may consider trying in the future.
I understand Olivia Newton John uses it... I think her husband is a cannabis farmer in LA???
Olivia is on This Morning in the Uk next week so I will try and watch it.

And, here is her foundation website: onjfoundation.org/
Yes. My oncologist can’t recommend it, but he was ok that I asked and sent me to a pain specialist who approved my use of marijuana in tablet form. I live in New York and have a state license that I keep with my drivers license.
I am on Xeloda: one week on and one week off. I use Udder cream for my hands and feet. Get it on Amazon. Also white cotton socks for bedtime. Amazon too.
My cancer numbers are at 132. I hope they stay low.
For dehydration I drink coconut water as it has Lots of potassium. Also V8 and orange juice.
Hopefully this helps.
Thanks again Reenie
I also am interested in learning more about how to use pot as a way to fight this disease--but can't right now as my resources are limited. There is a company that specializes in this in the area I live in California. The Sacred Plant has interesting documentaries about this on you tube.
Hi all- I have a medical license for the state Where I live. There are only 12 medical conditions that are permitted for medical cannabis use in this state— cancer is one. I am taking CBD and THC in tincture form for 6 months now. I wanted to try it for sleep and pain and the cannabis has really been a positive improvement with both.
Another positive side effect is that inflammation in my arthritis knees has improved and lessened so much I am now walking daily. I purchase CBD from Charlotte’s Web- in Colorado— (. charlottesweb.com. )
My oncologist knows I’m using this and is fine with it.

I've been using mm for over a year now. I usually use the RSO (Rick Simpson Oil) syringes. If I Each one (1 gram) lasts about three weeks. I look for Indica-based product with certain terpenes that are touted as helpful with tumor reduction. If I can't get that, I use a 5:1 THD:CBD tincture. So far I don't see that it's reduced my tumors, but I sleep well, have minimal to no pain, and am less anxious.
That said, I have a friend in California who has used medical marijuana and other complementary therapies and is now NED for almost two years. I always figure it is worth a try--if nothing else to avoid opioid pain medicines. Good luck!
