Hurrah!!!!

So excited. Just got my CT AND MRI results back and all three mets are stable (liver, lungs and spine). Have been off my main chemo for three weeks so am absolutely thrilled. Oncologist still wants me to take a few more weeks off as side effects of Xeloda on my tummy we’re so bad. So it is just denosumab and Fulvestrant for now. Out for dinner with the family to celebrate.

I have to ask....Is that you on the cover of the magazine? I'm probably misinterpreting it (?) but is that like a mock-up of "Vogue" re-titled "Vague"? Either someone you know made it and has a great sense of humor (and my gosh, the initiative/creativity!) or my mind's playing tricks with me again!

p.s. thumbs-up on your use of the word "Hurrah!". I don't know if you use that often, but -- in an admission that will give a clue to how odd I can be -- that's on my list of words I want to start using! My favorite character in The Good Place, Tahani, often said it and I thought...Wow, great, good-spirited, useful word, but I've literally never uttered it! So you've beat me to it, and inspired me at the same time (another word on my list is "split", like, "Sorry, I gotta split now"....so Hurrah to you! Gotta split...

So pleased to hear your news, hurrahs all round. My onc. Told me on Monday....'good news, everything is stable'. I was so happy to hear 'good news' that I forgot to ask for detail, I hope she sends a detailed letter.

I shall endeavour to toss the diagnosis to the back of my mind and continue with the palbo, letrezole and bone pill, I have forgotten its name, plus calcium. I have it in bones, lung and liver but it's snoozing at the moment. My marker has gone down to 27.

I usually get a copy of my ct radiography report and an update letter from my onc to my GP from my GP practice . But it can take a while to come through ! x
