As if dealing with MBC weren’t enough, I’m going in to hospital tomorrow for a biopsy on a spot below eyelid that may be basal carcinoma.
I’m actually more worried about the injection anesthetizing the area than hearing results! I may be 73 but I’m a child when it comes to needles. 🙁
As it was 75 and sunny today, we took a ride up valley to take my mind off tomorrow’s procedure. The whole valley is awash in a blanket of yellow during this time of year and so gorgeous. Wanted to share with you all!
Spring is definitely on the way!

Thanks, Kathleen! My day wasn't too bad. I just felt really stressed and frazzled earlier when I was chasing after a client's dog that didn't want to go home! I normally walk the puppy, but as he had been neutered yesterday his owner just wanted him let out for a toilet break in the communal garden. So he didn't go far, but I had to pop back in the house and get him a dog treat to coax him. So that stressed me out! 🐾

Thanks so much for the encouragement Sandra. They will be “slicing” but I was told to I’ll have an anesthetic and it won’t just be topical. 🙁That’s my fear. K
Beautiful photo. Spring is coming. Cant wait for the change to have more lighter hours. I am normally not scared of needles but I think I would feel just like you would. I am sure it will feel like a pinch. I hope everything works out. Let us know.

Results will be in a few days unless lab technicians want 2nd opinion from Stanford or UCSF and then it could be middle of next week. Hope not if course.
It's always the things we seem to worry about most (at least with me) never turning out bad and the things I don't worry about seem to generate the biggest problems. I need to stop "overthinking". I can drive myself insane. I am glad that it was over quickly and you mark that off your list. I am hoping, like you, that all will be fine. You got this!

Hello Red, I have found as difficult as it is, that by distracting myself from the diagnosis helps me live in the light. Darkness cant live in light. I've been dx with MBC 3 years ago after a left mastectomy in 2003. Fourteen years of no CA , or so I thought. I went on automatic pilot when I heard my oncologist say the words. When I came out of shock a few months later I started taking supplements, juicing and eating organic. That lasted for a few months. I'll be 65 May 4th. I stopped working one and a half years after the dx. and applied for disability. I sold my condominium and bought a new manufactured house to give myself a buffer as I'm paying 1,200 a month for COBRA. CA does not define who you are. It's something you have and are fighting. Don't own the dx by saying my cancer. I don't mean to sound like I "got this". Cuz I don't. I just came back from a pity party. Didn't stay long. My friends and support including these fabulously wonderful people we share our experiences with help ground me and then I'm faced with the choice. Do I move forward, finding the joys in my life; or do I take a seat as a victim. Your not a victim Red. Your a Victor. As a Christian I find comfort in knowing that I'm not alone. I trust my doctor's but I am loved and cared for by the Great Physician. Continue to find strength from your source. The only thing terminal about you is the zeal you find in the exalted spring flowers that you so generously shared with us. God bless you Red. I pray for complete and total restoration. I know lots of people fear needles, I on the other hand have had somewhere around 1600 shots injections in my life. They do hurt but rarely do they do damage, even in such a sensitive area. Good luck Kathleen! You are a warrior!
