My treatment journey

I found out my cancer had returned matastatic to my bones and liver. Went through 10 months of Abraxane chemo and then was put on Ibrance. Had all the aches and pains with it. I was taking Ibrance with Letrosole. Had to change to non generic Femara. It worked about a year. I am now on Femara and Verzenio. Side effects are pretty bad. Lots of diarrhea and total exhaustion.

Then One of my CT scans showed hot spots on my liver. Pet scan confirmed it. A week ago yesterday I had a microwave ablation to my liver. So now I am trying to get past this. Next week I will meet with my oncologist and will discuss next treatment.

I have had this last liver tumor sent to Foundation One for genomic testing. Don't have it back yet.

Since my Stage 1 breast cancer found in 2012 I have had Taxol, Taxotere, Gemzar and Abraxane. 55 rounds.

Just remember there always new drugs and procedures coming out. So I never give up hope.

Hi Lek,

Thanks so much for sharing the various treatments you have been on. Your example is a good one to look to, as you are persevering and giving us all hope that there are many treatment options out there for us. We are not a lost cause. Each of us has much worth, whose life is precious.

Yes Lek22, you're so right! Giving up hope is not an option!! I think the same way. Let us know what the test results are and how it will be treated. Always to be continued ❤️❤️

Bless you for sticking with it all. I've been on this latest chemotherapy regimen for 14 months (but who's counting? ;-) after they found liver mets in addition to bones. We just keep on keeping. All the best to you. xo
