Travelling to different time zone

Hello my mom is taking Ibrance and she plans to travel to Canada which is a different time zone (-13 hours) from where she lives (S.Korea). In this case, any of you know if she can just take the medicine according to the time of S.Korea (as she will start her travel from her 5th day of Ibrance cycle)?

I am worried a lot if it is really okay for her to travel such a long distance and time differences... I am wondering if anyone here also planned or experienced such a long distance travel.

Hello Chiu. I am from the Philippines and I travelled to Scotland, UK. My oncologist advised me to follow the UK time when I take Ibrance meaning that if I take Ibrance at dinner time (7:30 pm) in the Philippines then I also take it at dinner time (7:30 pm) UK time. No need to count hours as that is confusing and our circadian rhythm changes with the time zone. Hope this helps. Your mom will be okay. I stayed in Scotland for 3 weeks and when I came back, my blood works and scan were stable.

She might want to just be careful switching when she arrives though, with the time difference. That is, as an example, with IBrance I think it would be better to go an extra 1/2 day without the drug, versus taking it again after only 12-14 hrs. Ask her supplying pharmacist for their thoughts . Perhaps the doctor is not aware exactly how far apart the time differences is!
