Update from onc today

Hi to all of you

I went to the onc today because of how I have not been feeling well at all. Wanted to be sure counts did not go berserk- they were ok. But I have lo grade fever. And I finally remembered to tell him about this rash I have that comes and goes and drives me nuts itchy. First time I saw him very concerned- might be from ibrance. Great- he won’t let me start next cycle which was supposed to be tomorrow.

I have to call him on Monday. He is also running a measles titer- I told him do whatever tests he wants but no this can’t be what it is. I know there is an epidemic of it in NY and NJ; I think he is over cautious. We discussed the mixed results again- he said if they are new it depends on how resistant they are to meds-faslodex, ibrance. He would be more inclined to have them radiated but depends. Omg! My tumor markers just stabilized and this month showed slight decrease. He said he knows- just not sure about radiation now. Wait n see. Ok- I am getting better with that but I will drown my body in Benadryl if need be. I have a sense the rash May be from ibrance also but so not ready to change that. I made an appt with dermatologist anyway.

I miss my grandchildren. I was out of work 2 days and went today for few hours. The whole family has sore throats and colds.?! Their son had it Monday and I was already feeling so run down, easy to get sick. The last month I really pushed hard to be there for my kids n grandchildren when they lost daughter in laws dad. Also pushed myself to go upstate to see mom Mother’s Day. Love just kept me going. Now my doc sent me home to bed. Ugh!!!!

So I will rest, pray fever goes away fast and look forward to all of you💕

Love

Frances

Sandra, you always lift me up.💕it’s not measles. I know how doctors can be working with them for almost 40 years😂. I felt his concern and just let it be. I won’t stop ibrance and he is not so inclined to also. I saw an ent doc three years ago who told me I should live on the moon😳because of the allergies I have. Talk about getting perspective! Hah here’s to mbc!!!

Thanks Sandra love being sent to you.🙏🏻💕

Rest up Frances! You have been around sick people and are probably very run down.

Francesca, you can get a rash from Ibrance. Take an allergy pill every day. It helps a lot.

Wow you have had a lot on your plate. I sure hope and pray you start feeling better soon. When I first started on xeloda it caused a rash on my arms. My onc gave me a steroid cream but I really didn’t like using it. I made my own remedy with essential oils. Some fractionated coconut oil, frankincense and melaleuca oils and it worked much better.

Sending you hugs and prayers.

Kim.... by melaleuca oil, do you mean tea tree? Or is there an actual melaleuca oil?

I think it’s really the same but they do have an oil called melaleuca. I get my oils from doTerra.

Hope you are feeling better Fever is actually good for cancer (cancer doesn't like the heat) so maybe you will enjoy that part of the fever. Best wishes.Mary

Rest is the best thing for repairing our bodies Francesca. Try to enjoy it and let go of any other worries but yourself. You are the most important one right now.

Hi Frances,

How are you feeling? Are you getting better? It sounds like the best thing you can do is get some rest. I know that is easier said than done.

Take care,

Sophie
