Agree w Julie. Lots of water. Factor in naps. And my best advice, juicing greens. Try to limit the other stressors in your life. Ibrance has worked for me for over 3 years, along with an anti hormonal. 😉 Good luck

I only noticed today that it says it can make you drowsy on my prescription label. I’m going to see if taking it at night will help.

I was on 125 for 10 months and had to take naps every single day... moved to the 100 mg dose in December and MUCH less tired. I won’t have scan until April but hopeful that the effect on cancer is still there!

I too, was lowered to 100 mg and feel much better. I usually lay down for a couple of hours every day.

All the tips of others are ones I practice as well. If possible those rest periods really help. Because I work full time and the rest periods aren’t always possible, I was prescribed Ritalin. It is half the usual dose, so 2.5 mgm twice a day. I actually don’t take it everyday and days I do take it—it is rare I take it twice. So I use it as needed when all the other tips don’t work. It is very helpful to me and very glad I have it if I need to use it. Good luck!

I took Ritalin for a while but didn't notice any difference. I take ashwaghanda-KSM66 with the approval of Dr. I find it helps and it also helps with mood.

Thanks for response. Sounds as though that supplement may not be helping you with the fatigue either. Have you tried something like Gatorade? I only mention it as even though I drink loads of water I seem to still get dehydrated. I was in bed all this weekend after flying home to the US from the U.K. on business. It wasn’t until Sunday afternoon when I realized I probably needed electrolytes also. After drinking a full large bottle of Gatorade I felt a lot better by the evening.

Hi, Gwennie123! I agree with the others. Naps are a big help. I, too, work full-time, but if you are really feeling drowsy, sneaking away to a lounge or secluded room for a 10-minute nap can really work wonders and give you the boost you need to continue.

I also noticed that I was more tired during the week I wasn't on Ibrance than when I was. My medical oncologist told me that this was because I was detoxing during the week off. When I would resume the next cycle, I actually felt that my energy level got a boost!

Physical activity also helps in addition to rest. If you can get out into the fresh air to take a brief walk at lunch, it could be very helpful.

Best,

Dianne

Exercise helped me. Walking, running, biking, anything that got my heart-rate up gave me a boost the rest of the day. Good luck!
