Give it a month or two. If it doesn’t work for you, or if you have side effects that are a deal breaker, there are many more medications for depression. Hope it works for you

Thanks for that..I’ll persevere with it..I don’t know anyone who takes this drug

I’ve had low dose of amytriptiline before but that’s it

Did they not want to up the amitriptyline? I’m on 10 mgs and it seems to keep me from sinking. No side effects I can discern. Don’t give up — there are so many antidepressants, one will be a good fit for you.

I have been in it a long time. It really helps with my anxiety. Not many side effects that I notice between the other meds I take, IBrance and Letrozole.

Nstonerocks is correct, drugs like that take many weeks to start working.
