Report side effects to FDA and drug company

please please please If you have side effects from a medication you have taken, please take the time to report this to the FDA and the drug company. Also ask/push your onc to do the same. I just learned that often doctors do not do this. For safer treatment, we need to make sure that side effects are reported and taken seriously and we cannot count on this happening unless we do it ourselves! Especially if the side effects make you skip some dosages or change meds.

If there is a side effect to any medication I seem to get it. Recently I had a rash across my check so my dermatologist did a biopsy and determined that it was related to the Ibrance. They reported it to the FDA as well as the drug manufacturer. I also got a phone call from the mfgr. who asked me about additional side effects. So far I have had blisters in my mouth, runny nose, bloody nose, fatigue, hair thinning, scalp stinging and the above mentioned rash. No treatment is without side effects but it is reassuring to know the mfg. has this on their radar.
