Hi Ladies...this post is for a little encouragement. I am a Christian lady who has a lot of faith. When my pastor found out about me having MBC, he proclaimed a day of prayer and fasting for me. I know I had at least a hundred people fasting for me and one of my prayer requests was that I would tolerate the side effects of Ibrance. First request though was that I would use this situation to glorify God. No matter what the outcome, healing or not, My life is in His hands. I have had many chances to comfort and encourage many other people thru this. I try to turn conversations into asking about them, instead of dwelling on myself. As a side, my doctor is amazed at how I am doing. Only side effects have been dry eyes, trouble sleeping, and tiredness. Third month on 125mg of Ibrance. If that is the worst I have, I can not complain.
Just praying for all of you on here and hoping you can find some way to make something good come out of what you are going through! You are an amazing group of ladies!

What a lovely post. I too have come through 28 years of this disease by believing in him and in the power of prayer. There are many documented stories online.
I have identical problems with Ibrance although the dry eyes have only started to really bother me in the last 8 weeks. Sleep disturbance I have had from the start although only probably exacerbating a problem I have had for many years. In truth the last two weeks have seen a slight improvement ( I am cycle 6).

This is so awesome and encouraging to hear. I often look and see how many people have beat this for so many years when doctors tell you a different story.
I too have amazing Faith! It is the only thing that has got me through this, I take one day at a time and know that God has got me taken care of. I don’t let this disease control me because he has the control. I don’t proclaim any sickness.
I have hey wonderful husband kids parents and friends. They too stand with me each day!

I first found a large lump in my breast on Mother’s Day this year...May, 2018. Never had any cancer before that. After many tests were run, found out it was already stage four...in lymph nodes, liver, and vertebrae. Started Ibrance and Letrozole in July and now on third month of taking them. I had a mamogram last year, and nothing showed up then. Also, I had been on Valsartan since 2013, which is the blood pressure med that was made in China, and found to cause cancer. Who knows...
But...through it all, I am using this time to stay close to God and daily ask Him what I am to do with all of this. He has already opened up doors for me to share with others going thru this and maybe don’t have a very good support system behind them. Allow God to use you and you will be blessed! It is an honor to be able to pray for each of you, and I do!
We have a very similar story. I found out I was stage 4 in April 2018. Mets to bones. Had ultrasounds and physicals etc. They kept telling me all clear. I am still a little bit angry, but have come to terms that being angry isn’t going to do much.. so instead I pray for a long life with my family. No history in my family of any cancer. I am tolerating the ibrance and letrozole ok, but I am losing hair, and tired after 9pm. I pray the meds keep working. God bless you and all the beautiful souls here. Have a great weekend
My heart goes out to all these beautiful ladies on here. None of us expected this...I just keep asking God to turn this to good in my life. Were you by any chance taking the blood pressure med, Valsartan? It has been proven to cause cancer. I was genetically tested and there is nothing in my gene line that could have caused this, but I was on Valsartan for 5 years. No way of proving it was the cause of my cancer, but it sure can be frustrating.

Amen. I too have a great prayer support group and I am thankful for them everyday! I will be starting my 5th year on Ibrance (125mg) and Letrozole in September. Except for the fatigue and occasional immune system issues, I have tolerated the treatment well. Every day is a gift from the Lord Jesus.
