Bloody nose

Has anyone experienced blood leaking in their nose?

I started on Ibrance 125mg, letrozole and denosumab injections three weeks ago. Apart from a woolly head and aches and pains this is the only other side effect.

SHARE Cancer Support has groups for women with metastatic disease; perhaps you could discuss this issue there. If you think that might be helpful to you, here is the information: sharecancersupport.org/meta...

That is one of the things listed in side effects. I think it also said call your Dr if having nose bleeds. I was on a chemo where it was quite normal to have small nose bleeds.

Yes it appears only about 1% experiences it. It is not a full nose bleed but more constant watery blood. I have mentioned it to oncology nurse and she said ok but if it gets worse to call the rapid response number. Thanks for your reply. Given me reassurance. X

Interesting. I will. Would reducing the dosage affect treatment??

I don’t think so. All dosages seem to work

Hi

If that’s the case why put us ladies through horrid side effects unnecessarily on the high dose?

I had to come off 125 mg after 2 weeks

Also had nose bleeds

I truly believe all dosages work! Pfzier’s studied only 125! Docs need to follow protocol from Pfzier, hospitals etc. they don’t like to change things up unless they can show the patient could not tolerate the highest dose . Which many of us could not! If you insist they will drop your dosage but will get crap if they can’t show your blood work was not in line with what they think is OK. Kind if ticks me off but I do understand their situation. BUT we do not HAVE to be their medical excusebir experiment. With all of this said, I do believe st this point that the drug is really good, at least fir a period of time until our cells figure out a way to beat it. I am surprised Tri78 , tgstvyiur fic dripped you right away to 75. I had same problem with my first dosage of 125 mg and I was almost 3 weeks as well before I started at 100. Most of my doctors patients are on 100 mg. All the same, I still want to 75 mg. My scans are all clear, my fluid gone, and the lining of my long much smaller. So this makes me feel that I could try to 75 mg at least for a while. I mentioned it to my doctor Georgetown and I knew his response would be as it was. Meaning he felt I could tolerate the 100 mg and that I should stay on it and I decided not to push it this month but I will have a later date. I’m sure that the doctors feel that since the percentage of us with nosebleeds so small that it’s worth doing with Pfizer Stetson it’s protocol. Keep in mind, the hospital makes millions, and the doctors get bonuses and incentives for each of these drugs prescribed. Please don’t misunderstand me I think the doctors mean well and they’re doing what they believe is good for their patients but we are not a study we are individuals and no one knows better how you feel and how you’re reacting than you! Keep tabs on what’s going on ladies and keep the communication up with us and with the doctors! I’m so grateful we have this avenue to share these experiences and know that we’re not alone.
