Hi, I am Michele and I have MBC ned at the moment. I am on Faslodex, Ibrance and Xgeva. I seem to be stable at this time and the doctors are pleased with how my body is handling these drugs.

That’s great. I’m not Ned but stable 3 years in ibrance and letrozole. This mbc has shaken me to my core. But I am also tolerating meds well Some fatigue and some body aches but I’m alive and kicking! I keep plugging green juice it really helps me

All the best to you

Juicing is amazing!

Yes. I’m not a card carrying new ager but like to keep an open mind. Juicing definitely helps my symptoms: aches and pains, fatigue. It sounds ridiculous but when I drink it my insides feel cleaner! I mentioned juicing kale to a fellow cancer pt and her doctor replied it is overrated. I say it’s probably underrated! I’m certainly not saying it is a cure all but it helps me a lot. I juice about a head of kale a cucumber half to whole lemon and pineapple for some sweetness. Pineapple is also good for digestion. I can tolerate a very green drink. Others may want to dilute it more ( less kale) for palatability. Kriss Carr has some great recipes on her website and in her book for juicing and smoothies. Check w your doc that the greens won’t interact negatively with some drugs like Coumadin.

Another think that is helping me is studying Buddhism. I am agnostic. Buddhism has helped me tremendously deal with my fears and panic over this diagnosis. No small feat given my history of depression and anxiety prior to this piece of news

What works for me is not for everyone. But drinking green and calming my mind and accepting this (a work in progress) is helping free me to live the life I have. This is hard work but helps me feel healthy and calm. I do have my very down moments but they are less than they’ve been the past 3 years

If anyone is interested I am currently reading Pema Chodrons books. She is an American Buddhist nun but don’t let that put you off.

She is funny kind and real, not some austere figure up on a stage. You can practice your given religion and still benefit from Buddhist talks and books I attended a weekend retreat at Omega w Pema. Had I known the talks centered around death—yikes—I would have run off into the woods geeze I’m trying to escape from that spector. But I came away much more centered and calm, not my natural state! People commented on it.

Some things to share that have really helped me and brought some peace Don’t mean to preach Maybe others have practices that help them? Sorry about the long rant🙏
