Hi Everyone,

I finished 21days of Ibrance, last week was off of it. I am also on femera, had a infusion done last a week to strengthen my bones. I will go back on Ibrance on Monday. I started to get a mild tingling in my feet, some numbness on my lips. I feel tired but other than that feel ok. Hope everyone here is doing ok.

I started my 2nd round of Ibrance last week, so far so good. No real side effects. Get emotional A LOT!

I have heard this from a few others, Darlene, you have company. Hang in there. I am thankful I am a part of this group. If I start to feel emotional, I will know where it may be coming from.

This is both a comment and a question for anyone, who may have any feedback. Just to see what is out there, I have been looking at other options. So far, I want to stay on the treatment plan I am on, but I might see if I can add to it to help improve my health (maybe). Has anyone done this here, added other things like herbs or something to their treatment plan? Of course, I want to add to my improved health, not interfere with it. My doc mentioned I could have medical canbannis to help my appetite, which can help. I have heard from other sources, that canbannis can help cancer patients in other ways as well. Don't misunderstand, I am not planning to drown my worries with pot, becoming a pot head, ha, ha. The biggest challenge with canbannis is, it is legal in California but has not been highly regarded by the medical professional. The US gov has not allowed clinical trails for it, in my opinion, it should since it has been found to be beneficial for certain conditions. Israel is ahead of the US in this regard. Anyway, if you have any thoughts let me know. Take care, everyone.

Read up on frankincense essential oil. I put it on the tumor area every night before bed. Many different oils have been helpful to me for many of the side effects. A friend of mine is a doterra rep and gave me all sorts of goodies. Frankincense is amazing. 17 months so far and that tumor is but a blip on the scans 👍

Hi Susie,

I have a friend who has uterine cancer and took medical mj for a long time and was able to keep the cancer in remission. Her oncologist at UCSD was amazed! So, there are doctors who will support you if it is your decision but for lots of reasons they might not bring it up. It sounds like your doctor i supportive so that is great. Be careful with any supplements other than what your doctor may recommend. Some will interfere with therapies you may be on and others may help the cancer grow stronger as your body may get stronger. That's not good!!! It's better to get your vitamins from food.

I like Becky's idea of using oils. I use lavender mist to help me relax so I can fall asleep.

Sending positive thoughts your way!

Mary

I'm feeling the same way .my emotions take over sometimes. But stay positive everyone. Glad to be a part of this group. I'm finishing my 3rd cycle of inbrance. No side affects . Trying to stay busy. Writing my feelings in a journal helps with my emotions. Hope everyone is well. God bless!!

It's a tough journey ladies. It's a good thing we're tough! God bless us all on this journey,

I noticed a lot pf people only have good day's when they are off Ibrance for that 7 day period. I wonder why that is? I feel no different on or off it (2nd cycle). I still go out & do all the stuff I can just a little tired, but then I have always been tired! Maybe I need to be on it longer? I hope that doesn't happen because my oncologist was so happy that I am able to handle this with no issues. Glad I found this site! Stay strong ladies!

This is my second round of Ibrance, so 2 mos. but I feel great with no real issue's. My first scan will be next month, now that has me worried! How about you?

I am glad I found this site too! I just started Ibrance (one cycle). I too get tired that is the main thing. I haven't found a big difference when I am off of it for a week. My guess is, our bodies are recuperating during the time some. Some of us may feel it more than others, each body is different. Hang in there, stay strong ladies. I am sending a virtual hug to you all.

I have not had my second scan yet. I think it will be in a month (gulp). Hopefully it will look ok.

I think it will be great! Ibrance is working wonders for me and many others. It is such a worry every 3 months. Try to relax and guard your energy for the upcoming holidays! Hugs and prayers.

Cannibis can be great for the aches and pains. I have a couple of gummies at night to ease into sleep. The achiness in my feet and ankles is gone. Smoking is different and there is a gentle happy wellness feeling that lingers. Everyone is different. See what works for you. I am 3 years in the ibrance letrozole program.

I think your right. Thank you for your input. I watched a video series call The Sacred Plant about cannabis. I think cannabis has the potential to do more good. Clinical research needs to be allowed to make progress. Hopefully, the US government will be willing to allow research on this. I think there is competition with the pharmacy companies related to profit.
