This happen to me. Onc lowered dose from 125 mg to 100 mg, It was so much better. Still a bit fatigued at end of cycle but so much better. Talk to your oncologist about dosage. Good luck hope you feel better.

Fatigue comes with it all at first but I’ve found over time that my body adjusts and the only time I am really exhausted are days 20 & 21 and then what I call my “off week” those 7 days without the ibrance and just the Letrozole. I actually still nap for a couple hours late afternoon on those days. Listen to your body and leave an guilt out of nap time. This is You time 💖

Have you been able to work full time while taking Palbociclib?

You can take before bedtime, then you sleep through the fatigue. That's what I do. Hope that helps.

Yes, had fatigue when first started on Ibrance. It lasted for a couple of months. I attributed the fatigue to anemia which was caused by Ibrance.

What did they do for you with the low red blood count. Did it get better?

I was taking the Ibrance in the AM and have switched to PM. My fatigue hits hard about 9 PM. I feel really good all day. I have been on Ibrance and letrozole 7 months.

Susan,

What dosage do you take of Ibrance? And is the Ibrance helping? How are your tumor markers?

I take 125mg but just finishing up my first cycle. The blood work is good but the fatigue is killing me. Asked doctor to lower it but she said no.

You know Marianne, That saying no really ticks me off. I am a 20 year cancer remission, stage III, and now just diagnosed with stage four and my lung. Doctors are always trying to take our power away, somehow believing that they know more about our body and our responding then we do. I always take their advice, but I also do many other things that they may not agree with but that I know are good for me. I just finished my first dose of Ibrance With 125 mg. I was so exhausted I slept 12 hours today and was dragging I had nosebleeds and Blood pressure of 85 or 53.As much as I discuss this with my doc and his nurse , They pushed it off to not having to do with my drug and the dosage. I know that’s totally ridiculous and I keep track of my complete bloodwork, take my blood pressure on a regular basis etc. After three follow up blood counts when my first was it 800, they told me to reduce it to 100 mg. I knew 125 was too strong for ME. They just want to follow statistics, which I get but none of us are a statistic. So my advice is to listen to your body, give the meds maybe a few months and if you still can’t function properly to enjoy life then insist on a lower dose . Don’t let anyone take your power away. People going to remission every day there’s no reason it can’t be anyone of us. So don’t let them tell you how long you have to live and how you feel. Before he changed on his own, I decided I would try it for three months, get my scans see where I was and then if I was doing well or better was going to ask for a lower dose. FYI, after two weeks I’m on 25, I went from 800 neutrophils, to 600 neutrophils In my last week was 1000 and that’s when he decided to look for it. I suppose I didn’t bounce back quite the way expected me too

I take my inbrance in the evening. It's better by the time it takes effect.i usually have my dinner and then get ready for bed.

I just finished month 2 of Ibrance and Faslodex. First month I was extremely fatigued. Second month was much better. Continuing to do well on 125 mg, even though neutrophils get very low the 3rd week, have managed to forge on to keep same dosage.

I am in my 26 cycle of Ibrance and letrozole. The fatigue can be crushing. I take it in morning as I take my heart cocktail in the evening. And it's not really napping, it is fade to Black. One thing that made a huge difference is going to the gym three or four times a week. Cardio and stretching and strength. After a month. No more naps.

Try taking at night and make sure you are taking it with something such a yogurt. The counts will rebound as you go through the cycles. Round 1 - 3 I was in the .8 range and would delay a week for the next round. After that I started in the 1.5 to 2.5 range. Which my ONC finds acceptable. Also be sure you are looking at all you take as for me, my cocktail has multiple things that cause drowsiness.

My daughters blood count went way down on the first three weeks of Ibrance. They lowered her dose to 100 instead of 125. She hasn’t started the second dose yet. She has Ebsteen Barr and will needs more radiation so for not it’s on hold. Sounds like 100 is suppose to work just fine with less fatigue according to other posts.

This is why I joined this group I had the exact same question.

Hello. I just joined this group to see if other women were having the same fatigue as I am on Ibrance and Faslodex. I slept all day today. I just don’t have any strength to get out of bed. My doc lowered my dose of Ibrance to 100. It helps with the nausea but my fatigue is worse. Is anyone going through the same ? I would like to talk about it with someone who understands

Hi there. Well that question I posted was 4 years ago. I am still on ibrance and faslodex and the fatigue is getting better. Stay strong and feel free to ask any questions.
