Hi I didn't post but i have question i. Was on ibrance and letrezol and stop working know my Dr put me on afitor and faslodex Shot please help if anyone one of the thanks

Well I was under the understanding that Affinitor is chemotherapy so, you don't need the faslodex (hormone suppressor). Affinitor is what I was put on after 2 years of Ibrantz/letrozole/nupogen working so well. Affinitor did not stop my CA 27&29 from rising for 3 months of every known side effect. I have been switched to xeloda.

I have been on Afinitor plus letrozole for 2 1/2 years and will now be switching to Ibrance & Letrozole next week. Both Afinitor and & Ibrance use an AI with it to help delay the progression of ER+ metastatic BC by preventing cells from growing growing and dividing. I hope xeloda works for you...

I was on Affinitor for only 5 months and it spread to my liver and kidney, it is also in a lot of my bones in my spine and skeleton. I just started xeloda today, terrified, right now, wondering how xeloda has been for you. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 in December 2014, was on Ibrance for 21 months before Affinitor

Xeloda has been just keeping numbers where they were not up nor down. My Oncologist says be patient and this is good. So, we will wait and watch the numbers.

Affinitor did not work for me my numbers just rose so, we switched to Xeloda.

I've been on Ibrance and faslodex for a year, still working, supposedly the 2 together work very well, dunno why your doctor didnt have you on Ibrance with Faslodex, mine said they have gotten allot of good results with that combo, but im sure what he switched you too will work too. Keep the faith!

From my personal experience. Faslodex is a very good drug, it gives you time to try additional things. Don't waste this grace period. Unfortunately Faslodex does not work forever (how I wish it did for us) and mets will appear eventually. Make every effort to add supplements that target met activity. I recommend whole body hyperthermia. Wish you the best, stay positive.

Ibrance and letrozole stopped working for me almost immediately. I am just starting capesitabine.

Hi everyone,

I was on Xeloda for 2 years then markers started climbing. Was switched to Afinitor with Aromasin. Markers still climbed. Am now about to take Ibrance with Letrozoke. I have strictly bone mets.

Will keep you posted on how this combination works, Funny how a lot of us get these drugs in a different order. Some work well for some, and some don’t. That’s Cancer for you!
