I am male and have had various symptoms over the past year/2 years following receiving unprotected oral sex only.

The symptoms followed a really anxious period when I was paranoid I’d contracted an std.

I have taken all std tests possible and negative for all.

I’ve had a burning sensation when I urinate that has been present for about 9 months and I have balanitis type rash on my penis.

I am still worried I have an std and have muscular upper body pain.

I have read online about reactive arthritis - could I have this? Or can anxiety cause muscular pain?

I have seen various Drs and they have said it could be anxiety related as all tests have been negative.

Apparently chronic pelvic pain but I’m anxious incase they have missed some std

Joe I have replied to you on other webpages on here. Did you attend a sexual health clinic after my last suggestion ? You have health related anxiety in regards to the sexual event and you need counselling input around this.

I am just wondering what could be causing the real burning pain I experience when urinating.

I have been told it is chronic pelvic pain syndrome but I’m worried they’ve missed an std and I’m living with it…. Any advice would be appreciated

You have had every investigation that is possible and a wide variety of different symptoms after a low risk sexual event . You need to disconnect that this is anything related to sexual infections .

Ok I understand. Do you have any knowledge on reactive arthritis? I’ve read a bit about it but wondering if any symptoms I have are related to that?

Yes arthritis conjunctivitis plus urethritis = Reiters syndrome. Usually occurs after an STI or a gut infection .
