Hi all, have been Px Nicorandil 10mg x 2. Does this make anyone else feel as if they have been hit by a bus. Tired, no energy, headache. This was to stop the angina pains, which to be fair it has pretty much controlled. Thanks. Pete

Hello Pete

I benn taking nicorandil 2x 10 mg for over a year took me a few months to adjust although I take is with tildium and isosorrobide mono nitrate for coronary artery spasms. All of the messed with my head but got used to them after a few months and far better than the spasms I was having.

Sorry to hear that, it took my consultant nearly six months to get to a point where I now rarely use the GTN spray I got some very good advise on my meds from the British Heart Foundation a cardiac nurse on their helpline in particular about the variants of isosorbide to discuss with my consultant The number is on their website. I thought they were fantastic

I hope you things improve all the best

hi pete, l tried niccorandill a few years back and pushed through the side effects of being tired all the while, unfortunately l had a rare side effect of severe tooth ach and had to come off it. no meds have really been of benefit, they have just releaved it somewhat. im now on 1500mg renolazine, 300mg deltiazem, 8mg of candasarten, 75mg aspirin, 75mg clopedogrel, 40mg fusemide, 20mg simvastatin, 20mg lansaprasole and then as required paracetamol, GTN and Oramorph. I still feel tired alot of the time, most put it like this: we use tomorrows energy today so we have to pay it back tomorrow
